Generally, traffic lights at R/A's is a good idea. The problem is the feature with the yellow light flashing. This is great in theory. As mentioned earlier in this thread, it means you can go if no traffic is coming. The problem is this: You have stopped, you see the yellow light flashing, you start looking for traffic, it takes a while, finally there's an opening and you go for it. As you enter the R/A you have a quick glance at the yellow flashing light, only to discover that it has turned red. Bummer. QR 6000 out the window. It's easily done.

Xena: I'm with you all the way about entering the R/A. I do it when I feel it's safe, NOT when the idiot in the "Land Bruiser" behind me says it's safe. Keep honking, I ain't moving til it's safe. The same thing goes for traffic jams. I have people behind me, tooting the horn and making gestures at me for not moving, while I have 300 meters and 3 lanes of traffic jammed in front of me. Someone please explain to me, where that idiot expects me to go...

Other than that, I don't find the traffic too bad here...

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough...
