I still wouldn't accept TV professionals representing (their) country, on national TV, wrongly pronounced. A 15-minute instructor-led or online orientation for new hires would solve it.
It would also be an addition for them to be taught the English meaning for important words/names i.e Qatar, Doha and major cities and landmarks'.
Note: yes I studied speech,- phonetics- linguistics and aware that Qatar would be pronounced similar to Radar, until you’ve visited Qatar to discover otherwise..)
In Qatari dialect, Qatar is pronounced "Gitar" (not Gittaar),just to add to the confusion..)
