Lebs i've come across all wannabe french, they just won't admit it - Fair enough its a second or third language but when with arabs or english they speak french its a bit strange. They disassociate themslves from middle east and attach themselvs to europe. They may have some european influence there but come on, ur not in europe, get over it!
Also, in my experience lebanese like to talk about their country and don't ask too many questions about where ur from - Fair enough i'm from uk, most people know whats going on there but my wife is from slovakia and when we first arrived in middle east and befriend some lebanese, not one question about her country/upbringing. Just chat about 'u know u can ski and sunbathe on beach in the same day in lebabnon?' Whopeee do, medal anyone?
I actually like the country, think the food is great but theres nothing more off-putting than someone who talks about themselves or their country all the time - get over yourselves lebanese!
