As for the W hotel. I went there three days ago, I saw so many friends of different nationalities, especially Europeans. The place JUST opened, so how did it become a 'Lebanese venue'?
Just get up and go! Don't look at the people around you that don't matter, surround yourself with people you care about and have fun! Life's too short to keep complaining!
