- Understand where you're coming from and while generally true, as always, not all are subsidized. Which reminds me of the question I almost always get asked by almost everyone who meets me for the 1st or 1st few times and their shocked looks (esp. the women) when they find out I'm not subsidized by any man. I can see their blind assumptions but I don't react much usually unless I've had a really bad work day, overworked, tired and/or hungry (= cranky) then oops...
Agree with Scarlett - "Western women (or like minded ones) ARE independent and yes, that is a great trait because they can always stand strong for their mates when the time comes and its needed. they can also be there for their mates to lean upon when the going gets tough and perhaps they are laid off work or physically disabled. Can someone who was never ALLOWED to work do that? Probably not".
