I would change the sponsorship/visa regulations. It's modern slave trading.

I would have government policy to change the way people drive in Qatar. It is dangerous and not necessary. There are plenty of good examples from other countries; the Qatari government can afford to bring in expert help to educate their traffic planning/traffic police and roads department. DO IT please.

I would encourage the women not to wear the hajib, it is very intimidating. When one cannot see another person's face or expressions how can you be friendly towards them.

I would educate the nationals to be more open to mixing with other nationalities in their country.

I would make pork available for those who want it, even if by licence like the liquor warehouse.

I would encourage IKEA to open a store here.

I would bring in a lot more soil and plant loads of grass and trees.

I would build more 'village' type areas in the city in order to develop more community spirit.

I would like to see more traditional music and world music concerts in Qatar

I would like to see continuing interest in historical aspects of Qatar (what is left), and development of Arabic cultural enterprises, not Islamic (keep religion out of things).

I would like to see less emphasis on religion in the world in general, it has been and continues to be the cause of so much strife, death and wars in the world. Why should we hate each other because we don't believe in the same things. If I like blue and you like red, should I hate you? If I lke rock music and you like Country & Western, should I hate you? The answer to this is education - a broad and international education and less extremism.

I like this country and I'd love to see it become a wonderful model of a truly international state.
