Macliam, I dont understand how you re relating peoples needs with those of salary in figures?
In my neighbourhood, I have seen few westerners including brits buying everyday almost cigrattes and other daily stuff from a small grocery shop next to my villa where even I dont buy any stuff, Does it mean that they are earning less salary or they are not having enough money to drive down to some decent mall like City center to buy!
LuLu Hypermarket is known for indians as a perception, in reality you can find most of the westerners over the weekend shopping there!
It is just a matter of convenience and needs of a personal requirement at that given moment that will vary from individual to individual, family to family and has got no relation to nationality! do not generalise and relate with such a vast topic under discussion!
