of all the holidays,i particularly cherished christmas not only because I am a christian but also because it always reminds me of family get together and sharing happy moments with all my loved ones- from the grandparents down to the youngest member of the extended family. when I was still a kid and mom is still alive, she always bought goodies, wrapped them and tell us to give them to our playmates- even those who bullied us! it taught me about spirit of generosity and forgivenes without her directly telling me. now that im an adult and far from home and family, those christmas moments are always a balm to my loneliness and struggles. and when i will be a mom in the future, i shall continue to celebrate christmas with my kids the way my parents showed me how- by sharing our blessings to others.
