The Area that is the smell part of the Corniches is between marker post 4.5Km and 5.2Km (if you ever see these marker posts on the slabs along the seawall.
In this Area there is a very Bad smell. Not a lot of people walk along this stretch, or even park there.. The PArking along this Stretch is almost emepty.. To be more specific this is the area opposite the Fanar building. After observing this area and try to understand why there is a smell here I can only say that this part is stagnent water and that may be one of the reasons.
Because the Road leading fishing Harbour is stopping the water to flow either side.
So QFire you are correct there is a smell near the Fishing harbour Area and every one else is correct in saying that the dischanrge into the Sea at the Corniche is the water Ground whic has to be pumped out to keep the water table low to faciliatate the high rise developments in west bay..
