Eco-savvy before commenting on something that you dont understand you should think 100 times. Calling someone stupid un-necessarily & finger pointing is very easy but to correct the situation or trying to make it better with some facts is something ppl avoid.
Read the statement properly:
"To add more, the culture she is from & the culture she is married to is similar to Qatari where the groom pays for her expenses, gold & pays her meher (security money) too. But the girl refused for all these & simply asked for a separate home. Looks like she has committed sin & now she is in trouble just because of this"
Here i didnt mention that 'mehr' is Qatari tradition but I said / meant 'payment of mehr' which are two different things. You would be surprised to know, if you are not Pakistani, that if the marriage contract takes place in Pakistan in tribal areas two of the things are removed by default:
1. Woman's right to divorce (Khula).
2. Woman's right to her security money.
Men try their best to keep the security money as low as Rs 500/- & give the lame excuse of the Prophet's era when this security money used to be minimum. But based on those times & 2008, the inflation rate, expenses of a decent livelihood, one cannot keep the meher as low as what it used to be in the initial days of Islam as at that time commodities were too economic / cheap to buy but these days situation is totally different. Islam protects the rights of women but these tribal traditions play dirty games in the name of religion.
