i know people in the NGO sector so i am keenly aware of how aid is increasingly being tied to anti-corruption efforts. aid money from canada has to be monitored very closely and there is no way that in this day and age 80% of the funds donated from canada simply lines the pockets of corrupt palestinian leaders. i imagine it's much the same (or going in that direction) for other western government donors.
i can't speak of the money donated by arab countries except to say that what i have seen of the the NGO sector in Qatar leads me to conclude that money donated here is certainly not accounted for as accurately.
i am also curious who the posters above blame for palestinian corruption?
