Mis-Cat.. yes it is true that this what they would like to do... but imagine the foods are not part of their daily diet... but it isn't against their religion... think about ramadan.. you see the population here is not totally muslim.. but we have to bare with the rules and wait for resturants to open, even tourists...
Live in Rome, do as the Romans do!!! This is their country and you never know.. maybe they will allow other resturants to have alcohol.. there was a lot of talk about places (like Bennigans) getting the liscence for the Asian games,. but it didn't happen.. but maybe for the olympics it would...
What i am trying to say is that food and drink are not all the reasons not to give someone an event like the olympics...
