Being under husband's sponsorship only helps the company without going into the hassle of going through immigration. I feel the government should do something about female employee rather than getting money from them as work permit, etc..
I like what is followed in the UAE, like most reputed employers get a letter from the husband's company what benefits are provided to the husband and provide their female staff with only what is not covered and like when it comes to HRA they pay the difference only if the rent exceeds the what the husband company pays and within the limits the female employee is eligible. Atleast that is fair since nobody gets to misuse.
