You don't want a standard LCD, yes those are cheap but nobody wants them anymore. You have to get a FULL HD one because all the technology is moving to HD now.
Don't get HD Ready, not Regular HD but FULL HD.
Samsung have this deal for 8,000 where they'll also give you a full surround sound package and dvd upscaling tuner for free! (it's worth 2,000 itself).
Also try to get anything that is above 8,000 contrast.
Finally try to have at least TWO HDMI (HD) Ports.
