With the initiative of HH sheikha Moza bint NAsser, there was a great chance of an exclusive level of media freedom in the Arab world with the establishment Of Doha centre of media freedom & NU-Q in Qatar. Yet , there have been some blurriness in the vision in past two years and no remarkable achievement in the local scene. It's worth mentioning that Qatar constitution of 2004 guarantees the right to freedom of expression, provided it is not inconsistent with the religious constants.
3. When compared to other countries in the region, Qatar has a greater area of freedom of expression online. As for printed media, the Arabic dailies has an area of greater freedom when compared to the English ones.
