Come on guys. Salary packages depends on each and every company. It is not same in the Government, Semi-Govt and Private. Some Private companies who have good business in Qatar provides much better packages sometimes better than the Govt. or semi-Govt. organizations. I have seen that some are talking about drivers who are getting Qr. 4500/- altogether which includes accommodation, food and others and their basic salary will be a maximum of Qr. 2700/-. In this case I agree with the fact that the offer is not really good for an Engineer even they are offering him accommodation, transportation and Food. We have no idea what sort of facilities are provided but this person can check if he is getting a single room accommodation with good quality food and a car for his transportation requirements then he will be getting approximately Qr. 8000 or above in total. I hope he will be getting yearly ticket and othe benefits. If he is getting Qr. 4500/- exclusive of all his normal expenses then he has got his personal expenses like telephone and internet which will not be more than Qr. 500 per month. A savings of Qr. 4000/-is approximately IRs.50000 or above which is far better than IRs. 30000/- gross which he is presently earning. I am still not convinced that the package is really good. What I suggest is to discuss with them again and find out the starndards of the facilities they are providing then negotiate for a better package. You should consider that if you are planning to bring your family then the minimum salary should be Qr. 7000 and above to apply for the family visa for which a bank statement is mandatory.
