Qatar Living cost

Come on guys. Salary packages depends on each and every company. It is not same in the Government, Semi-Govt and Private. Some Private companies who have good business in Qatar provides much better packages sometimes better than the Govt. or semi-Govt. organizations. I have seen that some are talking about drivers who are getting Qr. 4500/- altogether which includes accommodation, food and others and their basic salary will be a maximum of Qr. 2700/-. In this case I agree with the fact that the offer is not really good for an Engineer even they are offering him accommodation, transportation and Food. We have no idea what sort of facilities are provided but this person can check if he is getting a single room accommodation with good quality food and a car for his transportation requirements then he will be getting approximately Qr. 8000 or above in total. I hope he will be getting yearly ticket and othe benefits. If he is getting Qr. 4500/- exclusive of all his normal expenses then he has got his personal expenses like telephone and internet which will not be more than Qr. 500 per month. A savings of Qr. 4000/-is approximately IRs.50000 or above which is far better than IRs. 30000/- gross which he is presently earning. I am still not convinced that the package is really good. What I suggest is to discuss with them again and find out the starndards of the facilities they are providing then negotiate for a better package. You should consider that if you are planning to bring your family then the minimum salary should be Qr. 7000 and above to apply for the family visa for which a bank statement is mandatory.

Stay where you are now. Do not spoil the time for just 4500QR. In India 30000/- is very good.

else i advice u to stay back in India, bcoz u ve a good package there..

4500 QR is not at all acceptable for an engineer..

i believe u can save a minimum of 3000 Q.R, and if u have overtime or bonus it will be great... be sure of the food quality they will offer coz if its not good ur gonna need some more money...

In India you have 30,000 net salary if you get 4,500 Qr. you will not save even half of your salary. for a Sales Engineer this salry is too low, Just for your information our company drivers gets all inclusive 4,500/- per month (but not all companies)

In general, It's a lesser package and that shows the employer is not good (good companies have standard tiers of salary and an engineer's salary can't be so meagre).

I suggest you check for accomodation (location/type-single/shared etc and fooding arrangements.

QHell is correct. Your present package seems to be a good one. Why do u wanna give up that? If your lucky enough, u will get a furnished single accommodation with food. Sometimes u may be provided with labor accommodation and to be frank, its horrible. So its ur decision whether to join or not.. good luck buddy.

QR.4500/M with accommodation,food and transportation,i think u can save a minimum of QR.3000/M. However it depends on your life style.

Be careful. You don’t want to leave your food to your employers. We have extremely horrible stories from Industrial Area. Even grocery shops in that neighborhood are selling expired and parish food items.

You are already making a good salary in India. Why leave for QR4500? Ask for 10K+ and you will arrange for your accomodation and food. This way you will have control over your expenses and quality.
