Visit the Insurance Inst. for Highway Safety --> http://www.iihs.org/ratings/default.aspx on the right hand side you can search for a partuclar vehicle.It gives you all the rating from the safety point of view.
Personally I do not know about the Five Hundred.
Btw,before moving to Qatar, I was working for an Auto Insurance company and from there I know the new Edge, new Taurus, Fusion, Escape (even Obama used to drive one)they are one of the best kind. @EVE So all Ford's vehicles are bad, I strongly disaggree with that. I have been driving a Ford Windstar minivan in Canada, that's one the best one I ever had. One time we drove 2500 KM one way with my whole family. Now with the safety issue, I had one accident with the Windstar when my 2 yrs twins were on the back seats. God's mercy,Nothing happened with us, but the Crown Victoria who hit us was gone!!
I know all newer Ford vehicles are really good, specially I have very impression about Fusion,Escape and Edge. :)
