You compare them based on the fact that they are both Capitals.
And this thread isn't about comparing capitals, it's just a simple thread to compare different regions around the world.
You said "Yes I pay tax on my salary in the UK but ... I get healthcare, accessible law enforcement, education facilities"
... alright from the top now. "Qatar has hardly any taxes, depending on your job you can get the following: Accommodation allowance, transport allowance, interest free loans, furniture allowance, medical, dental, utilities, and so on"
I studied in Essex and paid 84 pounds a week for university accommodation in a crap tiny room. Why are you talking about university accommodations anyway? Uni's in Qatar also provide much more compared to what essex, anglia, and norwich provide (I mention those three because those are the only three I have first hand experience with).
You also mention "I have freedoms in London". I didn't realize people were tied up and gagged in Qatar. Qatar is a quite open and freely developing country.
You say you can live for FAR less. I've lived in the UK (still am) for the past 5 years. I can tell you that it's COMPLETELY the opposite.
Anyway, many thanks to another individual who turns one thread into a completly different subject.
