I agree slap them in prison for a week. in my case the guy showed zero remorse... he should have a few days cooling off or driving ban to allow him to reflect.

they will be sent to prison because their behaviour puts lives at risk. if i came and started hitting you in the street I would be arrested and that is far far less dangerous than a speeding land cruiser hitting you and yet nothing much happens to the driver.
