In the UK a dog would be put down for an unprovoked attack. That's the only way to make sure they don't do it again. MAJID is incorrect to say that your child must have provoked him. Certain breads of dog are known to attack for no reason.

I believe you're right that rottwiellers are a banned bread here, but there a quite a few banned breads around unfortunately.
