Roads here are not so hot and a Maxima will not do that well here, but there are lots of cars here on the road so yours would be no better or worse than theirs. The guys I work with (Americans) have found purchasing an SUV there and importing cheaper than buying here, and you can resell it when you leave. Right now, large SUVs in the US, well you can hardly give them away and with fuel here at about 75 cents/gallon well you can see that fuel economy is not as big a deal here. They look at buying an SUV 2 to 3 years old.......to save the drive off depreceation. Also allow 2 to 3k for shipping.
