This subject has been discussed numerous times on this site. I agree with you.
You know that little yellow sticker "Baby on Board"? Well that seems to have no effect either. Just after I picked up my daughter from school, this rude guy in a landcruiser sped up behind me and literally got to 2cm from my bumper. I almost had a heart attack!
Careless drivers, careless parents and ignorance is everywhere. And any of you that get offended, so be it. Your children rely on YOUR wisdom to keep them safe. If you do not have the means to purchase a car seat (you probably wouldn't be surfing the net....) then I understand. But most people here that allow their kids to hang out the window, or crawl around in the car at will; you have no excuse.
Be pro-active....save your child. You may think you drive safely; but do you honestly trust the way people drive in Qatar?
Derry Boy, I know it frustrates me constantly. But you will have to get used to it here. Just be thankful that you have been given the wisdom to put your child's life first and foremost.
