Oh I forgot to mention about my rent... in brief... last year (Jan '06) I rented this really nice 1 bedroom apartment (new building) from this Real Estate - Al Hajri... for 3K/month... half way thru the RE guys had a problem with the owner and so the owner filed a court case and the court put up notices in the bldg, that any payments henceforth shud be paid to the court directly... My contract expired in Dec06 and so I paid the rent to the court.

Now the bldg is gone back to the owner (he won the case) and so he's making new contracts for everyone... last nite when I went to finalise the amount..... its 4.5K/month now....waaaaaaaa!!!! Oh apparantly the bldg belongs to the Emir's nephew... Shk Khalid Bin Hamad Al Thani...

4.5K for an u/f 1 bdroom apt is way too much... but I dun have a choice... I will be signing the cheques by the 26th Mar '07...
