Cars sold in the USA are not built to Gulf specifications. What that means is they are prone to having more mechanical problems simply because of the temperatures here in Qatar for much of the year.
AC units are also not built to deal with the temps here. I have known one person who imported a car from the USA and they had to replace all the seals and belts as they weren't up to the weather conditions. They had ongoing problems with the vehicle.

Might be better to rethink this option IMHO
