Hi - C band is a certain (low) range of satellite frequencies which results in the need for a much larger dish (c.2m) than the equivalent 'normal' dishes that people in Qatar use for Hotbird, Nilest and Arabsat for example (c.90cm). So it's 'out of the norm' let's say for the majority of domestic-type installers here.
Tell me which channels you're interested in - there may be an easier alternative to Asiasat3.
Otherwise it would cost around $250-350 to install something suitable, at first glance.
Qtel would have strictly NO IDEA what you're taliking about, rest assured!!!
