Arabic words for the day

Sabah al khair, everyone!

Just what kind of employee are you (since you seem to spend a lot of time hanging out here in QL)? Hardworking or lazy? So, for today:

kasuul - lazy
mujtahid - hardworking/industrious

To our Arabic-speaking friends including Mr. Osama Bawab, please confirm if these terms are correct, whether they are formal or information, or there are other terms that we should know about.

Thanks!

Masaa al Khayr! Kayf haalak?

Shukran - for reminding me to go back to brushing up on my very basic Arabic. Very interesting language. Just realized that I got derailed for 2 years already. :-0

Supposed to have been looking for kiddies books with the harakats too. Oops!

The appropriate word is KASLAN not KASOOL.

KASLAN means LAZY for male and KASLANAH for female,

but KASOOL means VERY MUCH LAZY (it became as one of his features)and KASOOLAH for female,

and AKSAL MEN means LAZIER THAN for male and female, and AL AKSAL means THE LAZIEST for male and female.

MUJTAHID is HARDWORKING and MUJTAHIDAH for female

AKTHAR EGTIHADAN MEN means MORE HARDWORKING THAN for male and female.

AL AKTHAR EGTIHADAN means THE MOST HARDWORKING for male and female.

Yes, I often hear that word "ta'ban" being used by locals when they are upset that someone or some institution failed to do what they wanted to be done.

osamabawab

some local people use the word ta'ban = t3ban in the meaning of lazy but the actual meaning of ta'ban is tired

Thanks, Mr. Osama. So, in day-to-day conversations, we should use the terms you mentioned, instead of those I picked out from a dictionary?
