So one cannot sue for simple physical assault, it must be sexual? If someone attempts to rape someone else, there must be some physical contact and constraint. Can one not sue someone for attacking them or hitting them deliberately?

We only have the info from the OP - it may be a poor second, or third option but given how sexual assault or attempted sexual assault victims are treated here (and elsewhere in societies where the victims are often blamed rather than the assailant) it may be the less evil option

when someone who is so hurt by their friend being a victim of 'attempted rape' why would one of the first questions be can we sue? sounds like a load of tosh to me.

someone mentioned justice vs financial gain - as assault is often a matter of he said she said and, let's be honest, the assailant is often not punished very severely if at all, suing the assailant may actually be more punitive than the assault laws.

Hit someone significantly in the pocket book sometimes "hurts" more than what the laws against assault permit.

Look at the OJ Simpson case, he beat a murder charge but was held responsible for his wife's death in a civil case.

yeah they happen in other countries too, but other countries has better way of helping these poor girls.. so she can go to Capital Police and register a complain and then she could go back to her employer house, and then her employer will know she had a complain, and then what will her employer do???

i believe such isses happen all over the world, not in Mid. East only, but seems most of expariates here in the Middle East thy just see others faults and not their people.

What I am waiting? You know my friend who happened to work as Maid nearly raped by her employer. What she could do? If she ran away then her employer can make up stories and then she could be in jail. Her families contacted the agency but said there will be an investigation, but up until now there is nothing being done. If the authorities asked the employer then he simply will denied it. Tell me what to do???
