This is a promise: Windows cannot give you 4 GB of RAM to utilize for your applications. To represent 4GB of memory divided into 1MB pages of 4K each, Windows needs 1K page tables each having 1K entries. To map these 1K page tables, Windows reserves 4MB of linear address space in each process. This memory is "lost".
Dear master, whatever your model, I just wanted to show you that with a little wit and brain you can find all the answers to the questions you are asking here online. Most of the questions are simply stupid. And even if your main board specifications will tell you that it supports 4 GB of RAM you will have to deal with stupid Windows which might not be able to manage 4 GB of RAM.

thanks for the info man..
but u were wrong..
i found this after a hell of search..
http://www.crucial.com/uk/
it scans ur system & tell u what u can & cannot add..
So what about the links I sent you?
I don't understand how 2 GB can work though it is clearly mentioned 1 GB maximum?
And if they meant 1 GB/max per slot, you can't go above 2 GB as the N100 has 2 slots only, right?
