Chef's and Cooks - Revisited

By PITSTOP

Hi ..

I personally love cooking so I looked Chef's and Cooks and I got this thread: http://www.qatarliving.com/node/186511 .

Lets see how many cooks and chef's are onboard - maybe we can talk food and share recipes? If you work at a hotel as a hotel Chef, we can visit and taste your magical food. Or if you are just a hobby cooker - I'm sure you could entertain?

Let see what people are cooking!

SPEED, the invitation is Open anytime - but it isnt a free invitation :P

You will learn the secrets for free, but you will pay for the food that you will eat :P

Now I feel hungry this late hour.

BTW. I joined the Qatar Cookery long time ago, then found myself walking out. Was not an interesting group.

i think this type of group is different than those already here on QL, but I could be wrong.... what do these groups do actually?

By PITSTOP• 1 Jun 2009 21:29
PITSTOP

There are 3 different Groups on QL - I think.

Where to eat?

How/What to eat?

And the Qatar Cookery Guide.

What do you think? Should we start our own - or should we join them?

When I lived in a different city we had what we called the "Gourmet Club", basically we were a group of women that enjoyed cooking and learning new recipes and cooking ideas. So how is worked is that each month 1 person would host a lunch or dinner and demonstrate a recipe that she liked, and then we would all eat! Sometimes it wasnt even a member that hosted, it could be like a special guest. We once were invited to the Japanese Ambassadors home where his wife did an amazing sushi demonstation. Sometimes it was arranged at a restaurant where the chef would demonstrate something on the menu. It was a wonderful group, (we were about 12 members) that was really great for meeting new people, learning new recipes, and just alot of fun. It would be great if something similiar could get organized here...... any ideas or anyone interested?
