Why do people just get shudder when they hear a comment about a certain nationality. To me everyone has their own uniqueness. Indians are lovely in their own right and so are Qataris. If we just make a joke about some nationality or race, it needs not always be in bad taste. I love to narrate jokes about my own people. But I know what I am so there there is no reason to be angry or hateful of those who just want to make fun. Come on guys let us not pretend we are made of glass and so fragile that we can not even bear the brunt of a joke.
Doha, APP: The city center was the scene of a bizarre crime yesterday when two expatriates attempted to enter the premises of the mall on a family day. The incident took place when an Indian male expressed his wish on an internet forum to enter a mall on a day exlcusively for families. The man named Jagat Lal got a response from another male, a British expatriate. Jagat Lal was dressed in the traditional Arab dress while the british male (unnamed) posed to be a Qatari woman wearing a veil (abaya) covering her face. A security guard got suspicious when he noticed the woman to be much taller, stronger and faster than the man. He informed his supervisor who fetched a female security guard to carry out a bodily search on the woman. People expressed a mixed feeling of surprise and amusement when the found out the man posing as Sheikh was an Indian, whereas the lady was actually was a Britisher. Loud giggles were heard when as police took the alleged men through the mall with the British man still wearing the abaya with is face exposed. Both of the men are charged with misdemeanor and trespassing and face upto 5 months in prison besides being lashed in public. LOL

Let's call it what it is. It's racist day, not family day. If you are a Qatari man or a white man you can enter. If you are brown and Asian forget it.
This is why I always wear flat shoes :O)
