Kind hearted gentleman

My car got stuck in the sand.

A gentleman in his black land cruiser came from nowhere and helped us.

He was wearing the traditional Qatari attire and his name is Adel.

He was so friendly and even gave me a crash course on how to avoid such problems when driving in the sand.

He didnt leave us until we were on the paved road.

Adel wherever you are, whoever you are a very warm thank you from me and my family. We will never forget.

May your tribe increase!

MAY YOUR TRIBE INCREASE.

I LIKE IT,

THERE IS NICE PEOPLE HERE MORE THAN WHAT I MET IN THE MANY MANY COUNTRIES, QATARIES ARE SO FRIENDLY IN GENERAL, AND I LIKE THEM TOO MUCH, AT LEAST THEY HAVE SUCH A QUIET, CALM AND SAFE PLACE.

JUST BE CAREFUL NEXT TIME, INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER OFFROAD ACCIDENTS, MAY GOD KEEP YOUR FAMILY AND YOU SAFE AND SOUND.

CHEERS.

Apart form libraries or cafes, i think you options are limited....just work from home and be strong willed, lock the computer in the cupboard...lol...

I came across a thread that said access to QF/Education City/US Univ. libraries were only accessible to staff and students.    I can't work at home because the internet distracts me.  So I need to just be in a big A/C room, with people reading or working, and lots of desks...  It's funny how a dreary image can seem like a dream.

based on past threads about libraries in Qatar I fear a dead end.  I will give these numbers a ring tomorrow, but something tells me I may not get through to most of them.  I'm relatively new to Doha but I guess some of these are outside of Doha city limits, so that's a no-no.   Where do Qatari residents (that don't have their own office) go to, to get productive work done?   :(

Already done that... However this was a thread that was most recently replied to... hence my logic in contacting you guys.  I figured most of you were Qatari residents who may have some insight on Doha and places of quiet productivity.

I know it's a shoddy way to get attention from the people who are logged on right now at QL but I have a query that needs your suggestions.  Though my query is not related to his forum topic, it does graze over the act of "kindness."   Whoever answers, will have been so kind to do so. Question:  From the search I ran on QL there does not seem to be any good libraries in town that are quiet or have convenient times.  keeping that in mind... Can someone please suggest a quiet place indoors, where I can take my laptop, and work on my thesis?  A large room with big desks work, so that I can spread all my papers out and collate my work.  Thank you!!

Not just once...

I met such peoples many times and many times we helped others....

Hats off to those, who help others without any interest...
