Good on France for puting forward this rule. muslims women do not have to wear this in public. and there are so many rules in muslim country that non muslim must do its about time they got there own back, but they complain that it is not right, so what about whet we have to do here in middle east and we are not muslim. cant have your cake and eat it also

They were partially right, the law proposed seeks to ban covering the face ANYWHERE IN PUBLIC. So that means you walk outside your house, you can not cover your head and face at all. Here's a link to the article. http://www.kuwaittimes.net/read_news.php?newsid=MjAxNjUzOTQ1

i think person above has missed the point. Most mid eastern and developing nations do not profess to be democratic open societies, that does not mean that they are wrong, simply different idealogies.

However, France boasts about what a 'free' democratic society it is and free speech etc..... if that is the case then banning muslim clothing goes against these principles, do they ban people with their tongues pierced...NO because as long as they are not interfering with anyone else (or breaking the law) it should be fine.

France is known for its right wing stance.......

It's not true and France does not hate muslims. They are just proposing to ban full covering of the face in public buildings and headscarfs in secular schools (along with other religious items, so it's not like they are picking on muslims.)

They are not Moslem country. I heard they banned head scarf at schools and most of the french really racist to hate moslem's women.

I am a moslem, I will never want to live in a place that hate moslem. Lots of better better place to visit, which are welcoming moslem well.

No they did not. They are proposing banning the covering of the face or the full burqa in public buildings. Full covering is not an Islamic requirement anyway.
