is it possible to marry a qatari girl?

Hi guys again, i recently put a post in asking if it was possible to marry a qatari girl and live there, ive had some mixed answers but a friend of mine who lives there clarified that it would be easy to get residency once i get a job so all good there...
Now more importantly i am madly in love with this qatari lady, she is beautiful in all ways, looks, manners and her heart most importantly!!! we both study at university and have discussed in general marriage but not relating it to ourselves. judging by the things she says she had same mind set to me i.e. 4 kids etc etc..
i asked her that what would happen if u didnt find a qatari guy who is suitable, she said she would stay unmarried, then i said what would happen if a forigner asked your father for you, she said that in qatar 99% females marry qatari guys and that in her family/tribe only ever once did a woman marry a forigner...so basically it comes down to this point.

SHOULD I ONLY KEEP IT AS FRIENDS OR SHOULD I TRY TO CHANGE HER MIND AND EVENTUALLY PROPOSE TO HER? I have known her for 3 months so far and have about a year to go until the course ends..

at the end of the day even if i keep it as friends, she would go back to qatar and i would never see her again in my life and i would be heartbroken!!!!

P.S. SHE HAS A MASSIVE FAMILY IN QATAR I.E. THERE ARE A GOOD FEW THOUSAND OF THEM WITH THE SAME FAMILY NAME SO IT INCREASES HER CHANCES OF GETTING A QATARI GUY?...

Actually it's in your dreams still....

I heard some Qatari families (originally non-arab) have allowed their offspring (male/female) to marry a non Qatari

Very very rare though if not zilch for 100% Qatari (arab)families....if you know whom I mean,,,,

At least you are Muslim, if you weren't that would have been a strike against you....

If you are 100% sure of your feelings,,,talk to her about it,,,and see where that would lead you....

If it were me or one in my family I would be against it 100%... "7alat il-thoub rig3itah minah o feeh"..

It's still the case 'till now, some Qataris can't marry from x or y family!

There are still some mentalities who thinks of 1700's minds

That's not possible and there's a law that prohibits such thing. The reason for that just to maintain the identity and the culture in Qatari society also, in the past there are non-qatari men who married qatari-girls and really took advantage of them,ie: money, social statue,etc.. I am not saying all men are like that, but that's why such law came out.

did you agree together on the names of your kids-to be??? this could be a serious dangerous lethal problem that you might consider to solve prior to the proposal.

My couzion is married to a nonqatari, and she is not overaged, nor divorced soo..first you need the concent of her father, then the goverment...the father is the easy part, as compared to the goverment ! Soo good luck..

and if they are a few thousands i think us living here we have a clue who are they...so really you have to leave her alone because this kind of families have respect and proud before love and maybe anyway they will not allow you to get close to her, but you can cause her some trouble with the members of the family and if you really care about her i don`t think you would like to do that. here is not really uk,europe or us, it`s a bit different ;-)

You can easily marry her and stay where you are. But don't come to Qatar with her.

Family elders allow a girl to marry an outsider... IF & ONLY IF....she is divorced or over aged.

Dont try. There is actually a law that prohibits a local girl to marry an expat until she is 35 or divorced. The local guys can marry who ever they want though. Welcome to double standard central.

Here the girl does not have any say in the matter.

u should say her what is in ur heart listen to ur heart instead of asking others if u r not able to take important decisions of ur life by urself then u will never get success in ur life n DO TELL HER WHAT IS IN UR HEART OTHERWISE U WILL ALWAYS HAVE A GUILT IN UR LIFE THAT U WERE NOT ABLE TO EXPRESS UR LOVE IF U REALLY LOVE HER!!!
