Ramadan is the best month ever in my life, i just wish everyday is ramadan, the advantages for me is not only the work time, also the preparation of food, only once in a day. The time schedule for my kids going and coming from school, oh i love it...its really a blesed month, even salary is advance...:0

wallah, agree with PM...

all i do during Ramadan is parting and outing...

who said it is healthy? maybe initially it supposed to be healthy, but people as usual twisted the whole idea... just eating, eating, eating non stop... you can see them filling with food two, even three huge carts in the supermarkets, as if they've never seen a food before, and if it's their last chance to get any food...

people eat "in advance", as if they not gonna eat for at least whole week... overpack their stomach at night just because of few extra hours of non-eating during the day...

I think a holy idea is distorted and turned into a prosaic filling your stomach to overlimit...

and besides, so much food is going to garbage every day! HARAM!!

I find there is such excessive eating at night and excessive sleeping during the day that It makes me feel like everyone is on a one month party instead of a time of religious contemplation and worship. For most it seems it's all about having a holiday with fewer work responsibilities and an excuse to stay up all night.

I also don't like the fact that everything is shut down for the non-Muslims (or non-fasting Muslims) during the daytime. I think they should be able to go get a bite to eat without it threatening our fast. Why can't some restaurants be staffed by non-Muslims and allowed to open? We don't have to go into them. I have spent part of Ramadan in the US and the UK before and found it much more satisfying spiritually.

But when all is said and done, I am actually having a nice Ramadan because I am staying away from the food tents and expensive buffets and keeping busy with work and prayer. :-)

Oh, and I do like the Ramadan light decorations :-)

I love the fact that the traffic dies down in daylight hours.

I hate the traffic after dark and the fact that I can't buy anything without going out for it at some ridiculous hour.
