Cheating Husband Vs. Cheating Wife?!

By sefri

Hello,

I read the post about finding your wife cheating on you, and I noticed that we are always tending to treat women with so little respect!

Going through the comments, I read descriptions like BITCH! HOOKER or WHORE...etc.

The cheating guy was let go and little did he have of the above descriptions although he should be blamed as much!

I don't mean to point out to the commentators, but rather the comments, so please excuse me gentlemen...

If this same question was about men, I am guessing the descriptions would be: Bastard, son of a bitch... or similar comments that would actually lead to getting at the guy's mother rather than himself!!!

Is it not disturbing that whenever a woman acts lowly, she is described in the worst words ever, and when a man does the same, it is not foreseen as that bad?!

I think although we make these comments in a quick and spontaneous manner, it only goes to show that we do not respect women in the same sense as men, because spontaneous answers are what you first find when you search inside yourself! Right?

Just think if your mother or daughter did something wrong for a reason, would you like it if everyone referred to them as bitches, whores and hookers?!
We even make judgments without first knowing the reason behind these acts!

I believe that women deserve more respect in the way we look at them, than just aid women equality rights, so we look good and just.

To begin respecting women in spontaneous reflections is one way to judge if we have truly begun to respect them rightly.

Think again and maybe you will see what I see.

baldrick2dogs,

I am sorry, but as I said, I did not mean anything against any commentator.

I am also sorry to hear your story, and it is a painful experience.

I am merely trying to say that when we are sometimes driven to describe certain people in a very aggressive manner, if it is a women, the expression is almost always lower, filthier, as if what she did is so disgusting in a manner we would not address if it were a man.

Maybe you will find odd cases, but in general this is what really happens, and if I were in a woman's place, it would really hurt...

britexpat,

The tags are not equally used for both.

Why not describe the women as a bastard?!

And why not come up with some description for the man in the same sense as bitch or whore.

Not that I am encouraging these tags -God forbid-, but I am pointing out to the sad fact that even used words and tags are against women in these cases...

Sorry, but these tags are used for both. If a guy was cheating, he would be a ba$tard and the woman perhaps a bitch..

Sefri, I used the word "Bitch" out of personal past experience. My ex was sha99ing around, had a kid by the 'other guy' and then tried to pass it off as mine. I believe I have the right to call her 'bitch' and I will tar all other cheaters with the same shitty brush.

As a courtesy I will not print the names I called the guy, but rest assured they were a lot worse than 'bitch'

P.S. between me and my friends, she is fully known as "The Bitch From Hell", but the rest is a very long story, not for publication in this forum!

I agree with you sefri ....do not apply to all men, there are some who are honest.

Back to your topic, even in our country's constitution on legal (wife & husband) matters, women do not receive fair trial. In a situation, A wife must present to the court that she found her husband in bed with his lady for her to file a case of adultery against her husband, while if a woman found just having a coffee with some guy, people will just accuse her of adultery or making stories to everyone. Hay.. it's unfair, I have a wife and a mother, and I am comfortable & have a lot of trust with my wife.

My wife and I have a motto. I trust you, you trust me!

In many societies for whatever reasons ,as long as the legitimate husband of a legitimate wife fullfills his obligations everything else is acceptable. Because it is not recognised.

Please notice I am not talking about cheating men or women.

I am talking about how little we respect women, especially in expressions and comments whenever they do something seriously wrong.

Some comments above may be true but do not apply to all men.

Remember it takes two of the opposite sex to get involved in cheating, so as far as blaming, there will always be a man and a woman to blame!

well, let's start with the fact that despite being a islamic country all men here (nationals) are liars and cheaters. And the rest of the men are just the same. As a guy told me not so long ago, "but I'm a man, I need it". Yeah, whatever. It's maybe that men are even supposed to cheat on their girlfriends/wives so it's more accepted by society. And among arabs it seems to me it's like a matter of honour to catch a good "trophy". The best example for an oxymoron is "faithful honest arab man". Anyway, a liar remains a liar and has nothing to do in my life. I don't call him names, I just ignore him. The worst thing that can happen to a man is being ignored. Most women face the issue of betrayal at least once in their lives, the luckier (?) ones never figure out what's going on behind their back. It's kinda sad how the good old values are lost in today's world. Very sad indeed...

"descriptions like BITCH! HOOKER or WHORE...etc." apply to male cheaters, too. Maybe not here in this region of the world, though.
