Are there Christians in Qatar ?

Denito
By Denito

Hello.
I live in Holland. Since a few years i have become a Christian and i now believe in Yeshua (Jesus Christ).
My family however are religious Hindus. They are not very happy with it i think and i also cannot join their lifestyle and believes anymore.

However i live in a western society and i get by with it pretty easily. Are there any believers of Christ there who experiences the same difficulties as i do ?

I would like to meet with you :-)
Can i safely visit your island without getting into trouble because of my faith ?

Love,
Denito

I'm confused!!!!

A 10 second Google search will tell you everything u need to know about the Christian community in Qatar of various denominations, the Church Complex and living in Qatar as a non-Muslim etc etc....A LOT easier than searching in a forum!!!

Something fishy here...Be careful Christians

We got some folks like that who send from Africa...via e-mails or random calling and say I'm ur Muslim brother, I converted to Islam and I wanna know about this and that and lo and behold they hack your e-mail and steal ur credit information hehehe

Lots of Christians in Qatar--Westerners, Asians, African, Arabs.

Qatar is now very tolerant of Christians, who have their own churches and worship freely. They are secured by the Qatari constitutions from discrimination based on their religion.

Maybe it is someone pretending to be a Christian dawood, I think you could be right. Once they get I side they could kill the unbelievers. It's a scam.

Yes Denito, don't be surprised to find ignorant people on this forum and in this country who think all Hindus come from India.

Personally, I have Hindu friends, colleagues and acquaintances from Trinidad, Guyana, Thailand and Indonesia who have no links to India.

By the way, my parents come from Surinam (Latin-America) i`m not that familiar on the Indian Sub-continent...

Guess my ancestors came from there.

Anyway, every man has good en evil intentions from time to time, sadly they also use religious scriptures to empower them instead of just tell your brother you hate him or can`t stand his prosperity.

Thanks a lot guys. I will definitely e-mail with some of you. And yes i am a little stunned that you are out there, even as being a middle-east country. Well you know what the news-channels always broadcast, but in my heart i know good things happen everywhere where God is working. I hope to find someone to drag along with me and visit the church of Qatar and meet some new people (whether christian or- non-christian)

Yes there are lots of Christians here, of different flavours. There also exists a mega church complex where various denominations of Christians have their churches.

Yes there are also loads of intolerant "my faith is better than your faith" trolls on this forum. Please ignore them.

As your parents are Hindu I'm guessing originally your family are from indian. Sorry to tell you this some of the most intolerant and oppressive people are from the Indian subcontinent.

She is not promoting religion she just wants to know if she would be safe in Qatar.

The answer is yes. Ignore the intolerant in QL who only believe in the one true religion out of the thousands that exist.

I believe they even have a church here.

What do you mean by "your kind of attacks"???????

By Denito• 2 Aug 2012 16:21
Denito

Basically that`s not my question, with all respect. I asked if there are Christians over there who would like to correspond and talk about some things we all have to face. Like your kind of attacks...

I find it very strange. Your parents are hindus so basically you are indian, when stayed in Holland you became christian. So iam wondering if you come to qatar you will change to Muslim. Is it that way :-P.
