In Australia the day of karangaavu is celebrated with Kangaroos. Everyone hoping in two legs. They are surely very strange inmates...

@khattak, I'm glad we've shocked you there.

@shahin, it's Garangao :)

@brit, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Emirates celebrate it. Saudi doesn't.

well someday with more research.

I remember that at one school I worked at we all had training in order to administer an injection type of device to counter emergency anaphylactic shock in a pupil that had severe a nut allergy.

It can kill by swelling the airway!

yes, that's common among doctors to say that. I've given pure yemeni honey to my children since they were but a few months old.

Honey too can contain a kind of bacteria that could be too dangerous for a baby under 1 year of age.

Yes Pitstop, that's similar to what some do in my family. I forgot about the honey. I personally feel that exposing babies to nuts at an early age will prevent allergies. -------------------------------------

My mother prepares nut paste of mixed nuts with honey. On a daily basis she feedsa tiny bit to the baby after a few months. None of us have allergy and none of the grandkids as well.

Adey: "There is some evidence that children who are given nuts early on in their diet may become sensitised."

That's why nutritionists advise moms to delay their children's intake of nuts until after the age of seven.

It seems no one knows, two completely contradictory evidences have been concluded so far.

"The number of people in the UK who may be allergic to nuts is increasing. Research from 2002 shows that one in 70 children is allergic to peanuts, compared to one in 200 ten years before. More recently, a report was published suggesting a quarter of a million children (one in 50) in the UK are allergic to nuts."

"The exact reasons why some people are allergic to nuts aren't fully understood at present. There is some evidence that children who are given nuts early on in their diet may become sensitised. This may also happen before the baby is born while he/she is still in the womb. It's possible that a child may develop a nut allergy after birth if his/her mother eats nuts while she is breastfeeding. However, new evidence suggests that this may not be the case and it may be necessary to expose babies to possible food allergens so they don't become sensitised to them."

I never heard of this nut Allergy before! I am allergic to so many things, but but even I was not aware that nut could be an allergen.

The most common allergens are

Cobwebs

Old and unused Books/bookshelves

Cotton from unused quilts/pillows and old Linen

eggplant

prawns/lobsters

pollen during the dry winter months.

and lots of other substances

White you are little presumptuous in thinking that people enjoy the company of you fakes.But definitely if there are such genuine rich Qataris, how come I never spotted one in my 2 years stay. All the Qs whom I met must be real tramps by your standard of comparision.Or is it that all your oil can not wash away your greed and narrow mindedness.
