The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced its initiative to provide Qataris with subsidized sheep at a reasonable price for the upcoming Eid Al Adha.

MEC in co-operation with Widam Food Company has provided a number of subsidized sheep that will be sold to Qataris starting from September 20th until the third day of Eid.

Each Qatari of 20 years or above is entitled to one sheep.

The prices for the sheep are QR 1,150 for the Syrian Sheep of 55kg or more, and QR 1,050 for the Jordanian of 45kg or more.

Widam will designate selling points at the Public Slaughterhouse at the Central Market in Abu Hamour and its other slaughterhouses in Al Khor, Al Mazrouah and Al Shamal. [Gulf Times]
