Here is a quick guide to keep in mind for motorists during QND celebrations

The Qatar National Day is just a few days away, and people are looking forward to it with great anticipation.

It is also a time when people decorate their vehicles in a show of patriotism. If you are one of those people doing it, you should be aware of the limits which authorities have placed on the level of celebration. One should be careful not to go overboard with their enthusiasm.

Here is an advisory, issued by the Ministry of Interior.

* Those who are intending to decorate their vehicles as part of QND celebarations are allowed to do so only between December 15 and December 21.

* Vehicle owners, while celebrating, should not load more passengers than stipulated. * People should be seated inside the vehicles. They should not put their heads and bodies out, as it will be dangerous to do so.

* People should not darken the colour of their windshields under any circumstances.

* The colour of the vehicle should not be changed.

* Do not cover the front and rear number plates.
