In regard to this crime, The Court of Appeal has upheld a ruling by the Court of First Instance.
The convicts have been sentenced to three months in jail and ordered to pay a fine of QR3,000 each. Besides, according to Gulf Times, the local Arabic daily Arrayaah reports that the court ordered their deportation upon completion of the prison term.
The three men were accused of breaking into a house while being intoxicated. They told the person living there that they were policemen and tied him up. They then grabbed some of his valuables and fled.
The victim reported the matter to the police and told them the three accused robbed him of a couple of mobile phones after beating him up.
Much harsher i would say. Teh shariat should be applied in my opinion and hands should be lost.
Serves the buggers right. The sentence should have been harsher
