Work Visa

Hello,

I had been offered a job in Qatar and I had signed the offer letter sent to me on the company's letter head.

Most probably they would have applied in the first week of Jan'2011. I am yet to get any confirmation. Does the normal work visa take this long?

Couple of days back, I asked them and they said that they are applying for work visa and not any visit visa and that is why it takes this long.

Regarding my background, I am a Indian, western educated, has been offered a junior sales roles, total salary around QR16000 and I am outside Qatar now.

How long would this work-visa normally take.

Hope to get some replies,

Thanks

normally should take 1 - 2 weeks max (with all formalities) if you have all papers perfect.

You can always ask them the visa number to check online if they say they have applied for it.
