Why is previous Residence ID needed for new RP?

Why do my mandup need my previous residence ID which was canceled last 2006 to apply for a new RP? 3 years have passed from the date of my cancellation and I have served more than the 2 years ban imposed by Qatar immigration regarding canceled RP? Some say I dont need to go for a medical exam because my previous Residence ID shows my blood type? but how about the X-ray exam? Do canceled residence ID needed to apply for a new RP?

Generally, the previous ID number is run in the database just to ensure that you have no criminal history. Like someone before already said, if your pasport has your earlier visa, then it shouldn't be a problem. The only exception to this is when the "cancelled" stamp was not done on the visa page in your pasport when you left the country earlier.

The entire medical procedure is mandatory. upon re-entering the country.

actually when you come back again to QTR ,finger print dept are asking old id # to check your old record. If you have your old id or its copy and/or your old pp copy, and/or your old driving license or its copy.

if you have one of these it will easy to convinse finger print dept.

otherwise delay.

You basicaly don't need ur old ID card all what u need is ur ID Number.

I stayed outside the country for about 2 and a half years and when i came back to Doha no one asked me about my old ID, I told them that i used to be a resident in this country and i gave them my ID number, plus i assume that u still have your old passport with the old RP on it, in this case u don't need ur ID card.

As for the medical tests and X-Ray well, yeah you have to go through out all these tests again.

Good luck with ur MANDOUB........
