What are visa types and their options
What visa types are offered by Qatar government?
Some I know so far are
1. Visit visa
2. Business Visa
3. Work visa
Are there any other visa types?
By the way visit visa is same as tourist visa?
What are differences, cost and stay durations of these visas?

Visit Visa - Business, Family, Tourist, Airport
Business Visit Visa - can only be applied by company. Maximum of 3 months stay, after that, you need to exit and the company SHOULD apply for a new one before re-entry, that is, if visa haven't been transferred to a working type.
Family Visit Visa - can be applied by individuals to their direct relatives, i.e. parents, parent-in-law and kids. brothers and sisters are not part of it, but can still get away depending on the immigration officer. Maximum of 6 months stay. AFter 6 months, need to exit.
Tourist Visit Visa - applied by hotel. When you book for a hotel, the hotel themselves will apply a visa for you which is valid only for 15 days, but depending on the hotel, can extend it to 1 month maximum. no extension and needs to exit and apply for new visa to re-entry.
Airport Visit Visa - can be applied upon arrival at the airport. only allowed for GCC nationals, European, Americans, Japanese. maximum of 15 days only, and again, depending on the immigration officer, may grant extension for maximum of 1 month.
Working Visa - self explanatory.
Family Visa - those under Father/husband sponsorship. cannot work unless apply a working permit from the Labor department.
Resident Visa - those individuals who bought a property in Qatar, e.g. The Pearl.
