I just got an alarming call, that CID are on the look out for employee's who are not yet under the sponsorship of their company. As told, they already went through alfardan. And many have been sent home.

Wether this is true or not.. its not bad to take precaution. Ask your sponsor or Manager about your status.

We all know that Ramadan season is coming so near. and this only means one thing. PROMOTION for CID's.

it's their job to be on the lookout, otherwise, what is the government paying them for? it's not like they would just pick out random people when they feel like it right? the only ones who should be worried are those who have something to hide.

please note that anyone driving at 41Km per hour in a 40km zone is breaking the law and is a criminal. In other words we are all criminals at some time. Here in Qatar the law is set up to protect the stupid and ignorant in labour affairs, whether sponsors or workers. It is obvious to all that a semi free market in labour is necessary (not totally free, we don't want our heart operation to be performed by a dental nurse!) and most firms are content to operate in this way. There is no commensence was of deciding who the police pick up for for such violations. Wonder who makes the complaints though!

"We all know that Ramadan season is coming so near. and this only means one thing. PROMOTION for CID's" If they are doing their duty correctly they deserve all the promotions regardless of the "season"

Can you clarify this?

I have heard that if any of your direct family member is being buried here in Doha; then their direct family is entitiled to a permanent residency in Qatar. Can anyone clarify this too?

Frexie just a friendly advise, do not post this kind of reminder/ precaution and be circumspect in using the word "CID". specially you're in the main forum & using english language too.

These operatives might read it & start tracing your IP add. their operations is non of your business.

I'm telling it to you because you are my KABAYAN! hope you understand now...

Why not call the HRD of Alfardan & verify the validity before posting here?
