visit visa VS sponsorship for husband

Hi there

I need advise, I am working in Doha and wwould like my husband to join me as soon as possible. Once I get my RP, would it be easier to apply for a family visa or sponsorship?
With a family visa, can he apply for jobs here?
Do I need 6 months bank statements for sponsorship?

What would be the fastest option to get him here . Too lonely without my spouse.

bring him on the 6-months family visit visa first.. then you will see... No need 6 months statements for the family visit visa.

And hey, no point to contact anyone from the ministry with regards to sponsoring your hubby. They evaluate each application separately, and won't be able to give you any answer up front. All what they will say to you, submit the application and wait.

So that's what you do:

1. bring your hub on the 6-months family visit visa. He can look for the job while he is here, and once he got one, he can be sponsored by the company.

2. in the meantime, if he didin't get a job, collect your few months bank statements, try to get support from your company, and in few months apply for his family RP visa (to sponsor him).

good luck.

Talk to the department in your company that handles all immigration related tasks ie visas, RPs. They should be updated. Alternatively, if you speak Arabic (and/or you're patient enough), you could consider going down to the immigration directly. It is located in Khalifa, next to Dasman centre near the main traffic police station.

The laws here keep changing. Best to check with the immigration directly whether they are currently allowing women to sponsor their husbands. They go their phases.

Hey .. i don't think your husband can come under family visa.... he can come with visit visa and apply for jobs and later transfer his visa to work visa once he finds a job ... 2nd option is, he applies for jobs from home country and enter qatar with work visa provided by that particular company/employer.
