sponsorship of a visit visa depends on the nationality. let me share with you some relative information about visit visa for Filipinos.

Fahad Service (tel. 4418444) is a known agency that arrange visit visa. a filipino with valid resident permit in Qatar can sponsor his immediate family by becoming a guarantor. requirements are the following:

- the guarantor must be a resident of Qatar for more than 6 months;

- guarantor must have the same last name or middlename with the person he/she want to sponsor;

- guarantor must have a minimum salary of QR5,000.

just go to the Agency, bring copy of valid Qatar ID and passport copy of the person to be sponsored. Agency charges: QR600 for visit visa  that is valid for 28days.

Affidavit of Support is needed in the airport immigration in Manila. to get Affidavit of Support from the Philippine Embassy, they require you to present Salary Certificate with a least QR5,000 income and copy of your passport (FYI: embassy doesnt have copier. make sure you have a copy with you when you go there if you dont want to see yourself going to city center just to find 'xerox machine'). dont be surprised if you'll be charged with QR100 for a piece of hand-written paper. its still puzzles me to think how the technology works backwards in the Phil Embassy.

i hope that all of you will be enlightened with what ive shared. next time, i will try to post advise on how to get the visit visa direct from airport immigration, commonly called Qatar Airways visa.

Yes, you can get a job if you are in a business visa but pls note that the new rule allows you to stay only for one month in a business visa, and the overstay penalty is QR 500 per day.

So, it is upto you if you think you can get a good job in one month time else you need to exit Qatar.

if you come down to the c ring road towards Toyota signal ... you will see KEO building on your right. Turn right just after KEO building ... you go further down... just after few hundred metres before you reach towards the end you will see white building on the left hand side wth alot of car park outside.

Where's the Visa office, is it Qatar Airways ticketing office near toyota towers?

Let me share my experience. A month ago, i applied for a family visa for my brother with my husband's sponsorhip. We went to the immigration office and unfortunately, it was denied twice that's why i need your advice, guys.

Also, shld i ask a letter from my company for added supporting papers? I want him to be here next month.

bakamuna ... i see. I am under husband sponsorship ... and i do have to submit his passport copy, his RP and our married certificate.

i have no idea what is in my husband's job profile though.

People who are under RP such as Labour,Technicians  cannot apply even for visit visa for the direct reletives, They could be GM or even CEO but what matters is the RP job profile.

you could be the lion but if you are in monkey visa..you only get bananas..

bakamuna ... i am sorry. I was being told if it is only for visit it would be straight forwards. As far as the person i sponsor is my immediate family.

Would you mind to explain again the different type of RP please ... just for future reference for me and other QL'ers. Thank you

if thats your biological brother and only for visit visa you can go down to the visa office fill up the form with your passpor copy, his passport copy, pau QR 100. And you get the visa in few hours.

I did it with my mom few days ago ... i submit the application, pay QR 100, they give me the receipt and the visa number with the website address. I get home ... and check the site 2 hrs later the visa is there.

Very impressed ...

well, it depends where your brother is from?

Nationality play a role on it...

if you are european, just come to the country and get visa on arrival... normally 100 QAR
