What type of visa issued when you enter for the first time to join company in Qatar ?

is it work visa ? is it visit visa ?

i heard one person resigned form his company in India, came to join the company ( entry visa was issued) but final residency was not issued because of some reason, other than medical.

is it happening frequently ?

Normally if personal is allowed to enter on work visa and residency is stamped then, there should not be any problem, please share info

We should resign on getting offer or we should wait for valid entry visa to come ?

it is only entry visa, once you arrive here, your company will apply for you a work visa/residence visa. you have to do medical and if you pass the medical, fingerprinting will follow then you have to wait 2-4 weeks to process your residence visa.

It's WORK VISA first..

In few cases, employees do come on BUSINESS VISA too but then get converted into valid visa at later stage..

If the offer is more than what one is getting in his present job, think to move out from the home country then....
