visa problem -- help!

im on a business visit visa here. im now working with a company for a month. i have reasons to believe that the company is not really taking care of my RP visa, that they dont really want to get me an RP visa.

any expert here who could give me tips on how to deal with this?
where do i inquire to check about the status of my visa application?

im a filipino. ive already secured an NOC letter from my sponsor which is now at the hand of my employer.

another thing.
i heard of this new law that gives locally hired people 3 more

months of legal stay should they resign from their work. how true is that?

thank you

We can only tell them flor. If they don't act on it, they will have to deal with the consequences...sadly some innocent people will be affected too...just because of those who don't listen...ah well, c'est la vie!

on the same company who issued the business visa or you are just coming here to try your luck to find a job? If you are just one of those who will try their luck to find a job, then I discourage you to come. Definitely you have something to worry about! Anyway, try it, BUT DON'T COMPLAIN if any negative consequence rise up?

did a medical and did PDOS and have an OEC, then worry not, you can rest assured that you can fly-out! You don't need a show money, but you need money to pay the travel tax and terminal fee.

Nomad, if you can't help, then just shut up!

all I am saying pasador, is that if you do something illegal, and please, stop talking about Luck, it is simply illegal, and no matter how you live your life or what situation you are in, it is illegal.

I can blame you for your misfortune, as you created it. plain and simple.

You want tips on what to do? Look at the posts posted, if somebody told you to go back to the Philippines, get a job from here and get the company to sort out the paperwork, THAT is what you are supposed to do.

don't come here and ask for advise that aides your illegal activities.

By pasador• 1 Jun 2011 18:47
pasador

i got all your point, specially your point nomerci....i think its already sinking in my mind....maybe your not living your life the way we are living.some of us knows it is illegaland you cannot blame them or us if we do some things that based on some pure luck...and i dont remember asking anyone else here to help me personally or take over my problems, last time i check, im just asking for some ideas, tips and what to do...sorry if i didnt pass your expectation that i should be somewhat a genius on doing some things here in doha...sorry your highness....but please dont call me stupid.....

By nomerci• 1 Jun 2011 18:36
nomerci

pasador, you and the people who are doing what you do, which is ILLEGAL are messing it up for all others.

Are you all too selfish or too stupid to understand that?

No wonder you all are getting messed about with left, right and center.

Even your own country is trying, and failing obviously, to stop your illegal activities.

Ah Hungmynd, 2 hours 55 minute on QL and giving poor advice already.

There is SOME work here and a lot of it under paid, hence people trying to shift jobs and not getting NOCs

Freelance visas are ILLEGAL.

dont worry cyndisgarcia, there are tons of work here.. and only problem for you is to find a good work environment, a good salary package. =)

@pasador - i think if you are willing to pay much, why dont buy an freelance visa?

Pasador, Carlo is right. If your new company really want to hire and give you a new visa, exit to the Philippines and make the proper procedure there. Don't worry about this visa cancellation of your current sponsor, it won't affect your future entry here.

please PM me those company who's doing that? im also a filipina, about to land there this month. hopefully to find a good job. thanks.

Pasador it is possible but it depends to the company how many days, weeks or months before they can get you a working visa so if you are going to exit to any GCC countries you have to apply visa to that particular country for you to able to stay while waiting for your visa and it cost you a lot so it is better to follow what flor said. Goodluck

By pasador• 1 Jun 2011 12:48

to hungmynd - so if the company cancelled my visa without NOC, i can exit to any gcc countries like bahrain and dubai and get the new working visa of the new company?? is it possible?

use the new work visa you have now and do the proper procedures back home and come back here. You don't need an NOC.

kabayan sorry but i can't help you with that, but please can you give the name of the company, because some of my friends are still finding job here, maybe they will encounter this company.

By the way pasador, i still don't have an PATAKA but i have my RP visa, it is true that if you don't have this PATAKA you don't have the rights for requesting an NOC?

By pasador• 1 Jun 2011 11:19

pasador - first of all stop panic! if u r in panic - nothing good will happen. second - all what u can do - to find compromise with ur old company and get NOC or continue work with them. anyway - it seems this company is not honest enough with u so better do ur best to get NOC and find other job. wish u good luck and remember - NO PANIC!

kabayans please help me...i came here first on tourist visit visa, it expires and i need to exit bahrain and get a business visa valid for 3 months but renewwable. i got it from gulf paradise hotel, now the cost of renew every month is 1000QAR...so before it expires again to renew for a month i decided to grab the opportunity to have a job, eventough the job is not that promising, only 2500QAR no accomodation and no transpo, just to save me from paying 1000QAR on renewing my visa.....now heres where my problem starts....this company, when i completed my requirements for me to have a work visa, told me that i will start to work once the visa is released..it was released after 5 days...a work visit visa valid for 5 years with a proffesion of electrical technician. now that was on the 1st week of may...now it has been almost a month of not having any work, not having any medical or finger printing...so i decided to look for a job and finally landed on the job that suits my qualifications...now i told the new company about my situation and they told me that since im not having medical and finger printing, they can transfer my visa to them...all i need is an NOC on my company who provide the work visa...now the company is not giving me an NOC...they said that if im going to work into another company and since i dont have a IQAMA/PATAKA...they will cancel my visa.....does it mean i need to exit qatar??? and does it mean i will be ban here for 2 years??? how can i work here if i will be ban?? please kabayans help...i didnt know what to do anymore....this is my first time here in doha and my first time to go out in philippines....i do hope someone can enlighten me and give me some good tips on how i can cope with this...thanks
