Would like to know the current rules of "on-arrival visas for Qatar expatriates to Abu Dhabi (UAE)", holding valid RP's.  We are getting conflicting opinions in this matter.

Latest Experience:

April 2012 is;

1. You should have Cash of 105 AED per head

2. Profession and Higher Designations are Must

3. You should have specific local (UAE) address , you are going (to fill in the form)

Steps:

Arrival to Immigration - Go to the counter (mainly dedicated for Aiport / Plane Staff (Pilots etc..), ask for a On Arrival Form, Fill the form (you need your passport details to fill form and local address in UAE you intend to visit. After filling the form - proceed for Eye Scan. Collect the stamp..d form from eye scanner and go to the same immigration counter.

He or she will register your name and details on system, will then ask you to wait for 10 minutes and come bacy again in the same counter (but normally it take 30 to 45 minutes.

(this is basically get NOC from security section i guess..

Return to the counter, pay 105 AED (make sure you have change).

If all ok with your past record.. You are done..

Enjoy your trip to UAE...

Good day

GCC countries (except Saudi) give Visa on Arrival to a certain category of people. This category is defined by the profession mentioned on an individual's RP. I travel easily to UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait cause I am in the list of the categories that are allowed Visa on Arrival.

I am going to try to attach the PDF file along with this answer. But if I am not able to, then give your email and I will email you the file that shows a list of professions that are allowed Visa on Arrival.

You will get the visa on arrival on the mentioned profession, but the payment is cash (UAE Dirhams) only, no card no other currency. I faced this twice, on airport as well as road border. So keep UAE Dirham cash, 100 UAE Dirhams per passport on airport and 105 UAE Dirhams per passport on road border.

Yes you will get visa on arrival in any emirates in UAE. You Qatar residence Visa should be valid for three months. You need to pay AED 100/- through card ( no cash payment) at the Passport control counter.

It is the same rule of Dubai. Managers are entitled to get on arrival visa even in Abu Dhabi but the profession should be on your Visa and ID Card.
